Together with American Evangelist, Tommie Zito, and other ministers in Canada, join Christians and churches at the 7th annual Walk 4 Jesus Edmonton – Saturday, August 12, 2023. Time is 12:00PM. Gathering and dispersal point is at “END OF STEEL PARK” on 86 Avenue and 103 Street (north of Whyte Avenue), Edmonton.

Order for T-Shirt                                                                                                                    

To order for the beautiful red “Jesus is Lord” T-shirt, please send an email to admin@ruwemi.org, specifying your name and requirement :(small, medium, large, extra large, extra extra large). T-shirt will be delivered to you at a cost between $15 at the event venue on August 12. View t-shirt here: Red or Maroon.

How to Prepare

Invite your friends, announce in your church, bring your members. Also bring your placards, signs and flags, if you have them, with messages consistent with the guide in the link below. If you have them, bring your shofar, trumpet and other musical instruments you wish to play along. For yourself, bring a light jacket, water bottle, sun glasses, a hat, a mat to sit on the grass and perhaps snacks for yourself. Wear comfortable shoes (like snickers). Finally, bring your voice to worship the King of Kings publicly and proclaim Him as Lord and Savior.

Community Service:

After the walk event, participants are to go in groups of 2 to 5 organized by their church, to go to their neighbors offering to do any outdoor chores for the neighbor on behalf of Jesus. Participants can then share Jesus with their neighbors. Actually, this year, we will go around the Strathcona Farmers’ market nearby the park to win souls for Christ.

Direction 

Gathering point is at End of Steel Park on 86 Avenue, 103 Street (by Tommy Banks Way), north of Strathcona Farmers’ Market and north of Whyte Avenue. If you punch this building address: 10171 Saskatchewan Drive Northwest,   in your GPS, it should take you to the gathering point ( please note that this building address has nothing to do with this event).

Parking:

Try to arrive 20-30 minutes early so you can secure a free street parking spot before the event begins at 12pm. Lots of Street parking spots are available west and east of 103 street (Gateway Boulevard):

(1) Strathcona Farmers’ Market parking lot is north of the gathering point, separated by one building and is free for 2 hours (paid  parking after two hours)

(2) Spots available near King Edward Elementary School, 8530, 101 Street, NW Edmonton, AB T6E 3Z5

(3) Near Mill Creek School, 9735 80th Avenue, NW Edmonton, AB T6E 1S8 (3) any street parking available around End of Steel Park.

(4) Free parking spots available near a white residential bungalow that is located east of Strathcona Community League Centre (a red brick building east of the gathering point.

(5) Free street parking on the north end of the gathering point by Tommy Banks Way and in front of a private parking lot. (Note that this event was not permitted to use the private parking lot).

Parade Route:

From “End of Steel Park” on 86 Avenue, Gateway Boulevard (103 Street) also by Tommy Banks Way, procession will proceed West on 86 Avenue to 105 Street, South on 105 street to 84 Avenue, West on 84 Avenue to 108 Street, South on 108 Street to 82 Avenue (Whyte Avenue), East on Whyte Avenue back to 103 Street (Gateway Boulevard), then north on Gateway Boulevard back to End of Steel Park on 86 Avenue.
