In place of the annual Walk 4 Jesus event this year, please join Christians and Churches in Edmonton and area to unite in a Drive 4 Jesus.
- Tie a piece of red cloth to your vehicle, drive as you would in a normal day obeying traffic laws.
- Don’t worry, you can take as many turns as you want around the route during the 2-hour drive.
- Roll down your windscreen so you can sing out your favorite worship/praise songs playing from your vehicle. Maintain the city’s decibel level for public sound.
- Tune in to event radio channel so you sing the same songs with others on the Drive 4 Jesus (To be confirmed).
- Pray over the city, province, nation as you tour on the Drive 4 Jesus
- Tape messages of hope in Jesus on your car. See list.
- Pastors to mobilize church members and take part in this spiritual exercise. Tell your pastor.
EVENT ROUTE
Join the Drive anywhere from 23 Avenue southbound on 111 Street up to Ellerslie Road. and northbound on 111 Street from Ellerslie Road back to 23 Avenue. Take as many turns as you want within the two hour period. Exit the route anytime you want from any suitable spot along the route.
WHY DRIVE 4 JESUS?
- Jesus said, if you confess me before people, I will also confess you before my Father in heaven
- Holy Spirit repeatedly expresses desire for a public testimony of Jesus
- It is a public testimony of Jesus
- A public show of strength in unity of the Body of Christ that demonstrates love among the brethren, attracts others to the light we have, threatens and defeat our common enemy.
- Energizes the believer and builds courage to stand in faith
- Offers Jesus as the only option and hope for troubled, hopeless and perishing souls
- Reward and blessing for the believer and participating church
