  2. The songs may be performed in slower tempo for gentle worship by users. And we plan to do this in the live worship event when they will be performed and video-recorded.
  3. The songs are a product of full obedience to precious Holy Spirit as He gave them and the instructions on their compositions including in some cases, specific tunes for specific songs. This is why I am confident the songs will be a blessing to you or your church, as the case may be.
  4. Selfless Worship – the idea is for saints on the earth to mimic the saints in heaven when performing these songs for worship. The saints in heaven come together from different churches, nations and denominations to worship God with the angels. They worship God not because they want something from Him. They have all they need Afterall. They worship God selflessly without expecting something from Him. They do it for who God is and what He has done. And we know that no one goes into the presence of God comes out the same way they have been. Selfless Worship also indicates that there is less of us in the songs and musical composition and more of the Holy Spirit in them.
  5. Let’s Talk About Jesus – “He’s in blood of Abel” – meaning, the story of Jesus is progressively revealed in Scripture through the numerous characters in the Bible, including stories of Abel.
  6. Arizima – This word does not exist in the Hebrew language. “Holy Spirit put two words together – ‘Ari’, a common Hebrew first name, meaning “Lion of God”; and ‘Zima’, a non-Hebrew variation of a common Hebrew surname, Shimeon (or Simeon), meaning, one who listens to, or obeys God. Simeon is directly from the Hebrew noun, “shema”, which means sound, and the Hebrew verb, “shama”, which means to hear or to obey. You see, Holy Spirit went through a thoughtful and creative process to bring this song and His message in it to you. Note, Lion of God is even an elevated epithet God Himself used for the people of Israel (Ezekiel 19). So, with Arizima song, Holy Spirit is revealing a message of God to His people, us, the church, the lions and lionesses of God to be quickened and rise up to the power, person, presence, purpose and provision from Jesus the Lion of the Tribe of Judah and to the message of His imminent return for the saints.
  7. Ndu Kala Ra – No one knows the meaning. Maybe someday when the gift of the interpretation of tongues is in operation according to Scripture (1 Corinthians 12), the Spirit of God might decide to give the interpretation. But it sounds African and it might be a combination of several languages within the continent. And it is a praise of God in the language of the Spirit. One night, while worshiping God, Holy Spirit said to me, “Joshua, worship God in the Spirit”, among other things. The next morning, He woke me up with this song. I wrote the verses in English to complement it.
  8. King of Glory (War worship) and Jesus Divine (Military worship) are intended to be used or performed as military songs portraying Jesus Christ as the Commander in Chief of the combined terrestrial and celestial armies of God. Based on Psalm 24, the first speaks of His incomparable declaration of war. The other refers to His victorious conquest for us and through us.
  9. Kabiosi (Everlasting Father) – In Yoruba culture from Western Nigeria, Kabiosi is one of the honorific epithets used to salute the king as he emerged to sit on his throne. It means the king is unquestionable, cannot be brought to account by anyone. We are in a generation in which people question God’s righteousness because of the horrible experiences in our world which result from sin and our fallen nature. I believe Holy Spirit gave the song because He wants us and the world around us to remember that Jesus Christ, the King of Kings is unquestionable and we must worship and adore Him. Secondly, I contemplated replacing “Everlasting Father” with “Everlasting Jesus”. This was because I naively put on an evangelistic hat and I wanted unbelievers to quickly know that we are talking about Jesus, the gateway to God’s kingdom, when we sing the song. But precious Holy Spirit cautioned me and He directed me to the scripture in which it was prophesied that Jesus the Son of God Himself, shall be called “Everlasting Father” (Isaiah 9:6). This song is a fulfillment of this scripture. Yes, call Jesus Everlasting Father, because He is.
  10. For all the songs, Holy Spirit gave the chorus. Under His leading, I wrote the verses.
