The saints in heaven worship God selflessly without expecting Him to meet their needs, because they have everything they need. We on earth have needs for healing, deliverance, provision and blessings. And God cares about these needs and there are and will be times for them. But as the time draws near when all of us God’s children will transition to meet with them and the Lord Jesus, I believe we need to begin to develop a non-transactional mindset to worship God selflessly like the saints in heaven. I believe a heart that is deliberately emptied of these legitimate wants and needs before worship will be the first step in the ladder we climb to worship God in spirit and in truth. As we switch from what we want and need before worship, to what He wants and what He needs in worship, I believe the veil and the wall separating us earthly saints and the heavenly saints will begin to thin out for God’s glory to be revealed on earth.
